It's very important to note that, much like how the meta for Shadowlands Crafted Legendaries changed over time, it's highly likely that as Dragonflight progresses early builds will become obsolete and new Specialization builds will emerge. Alchemy has a few basic options, which over time can grow into powerhouse Specializations focused around Potions, Phials, and Transmutations.
While Players will eventually be able to completely max out their Specializations on a given Profession, early on in Dragonflight Crafters will have to choose what they want to focus on primarily. Recommended Alchemy Specialization Builds For complete and up-to-date information on earning Knowledge Points, please see our guides:Įarning Profession Knowledge Points in Dragonflight Knowledge Point Treasure Locations There are many different ways to earn Knowledge Points, including but not limited to first-time crafting, random drops, static treasures, special trainers, quests, and Renown. You will get back everything you'd learned through Specialization, as well as any unspent points, although you'll still return to Skill (1) and have to re-learn any recipes. Unlearning the profession and then re-acquiring it will not reset or refund spent Knowledge Points. Because there is no current way to refund Knowledge, choosing starter builds wisely is crucial. While it is possible to learn everything a Specialization has to offer, this system is meant to take a significant time investment to maximize. The way you spend Knowledge is very important. Knowledge Point changes are permanent! Once you use a Knowledge Point and save your changes, you will not be able to adjust it later. These points can be spent in your profession's Specialization Trees to improve your crafting ability. Knowledge is a new currency that you will acquire during Dragonflight. You use Knowledge Points earned in various ways to unlock various branches of the Specialization tree. Unlocking Specializations requires a minimum skill level of 25 in that profession. Secondary Skills (Fishing and Cooking) do not have specialization trees. Gathering profession trees improve gathering yields, give better chances of collecting rare items, allow gathering while mounted, and even give one gathering profession a small crafting component. Crafting profession trees focus on learning new recipes, creating items to improve your crafting, and increasing crafting Secondary Skills, which allow players to create better items. I want to play this ASAP but I want to get it on GoG, which means I'll hold off on a Steam purchase indefinitely. Maybe it's that the dev knows most people tend to stick to Steam because of the convenience, so they push the Gog-release to when the game is fully done and no more patches are planned? Steam games are not piracy-proof in the slightest.

I have a feeling that the Dev may be concerned about the possibility of piracy vs a DRM free installer on GOG until the full release and the greatest period to make profit. GOG has always been rock solid with no internet connection and no issues with third party launchers.

Offline mode has always been hit or miss for me with steam. However, I have always distrusted the need to phone home or need an internet connection to play single player games.
